- Be familiar with M&E project contract documents
- Awareness of relevant Health and Safety legislation
- Check setting out dimensions
- Supervision of M&E site tests and record keeping
- Undertaking M&E site inspections
- Monitoring the progress of building M&E operations
- Compiling on-site M&E activity and conditions & resources records
- Preparation of on-site project diaries
- Report problems and queries to the Architect
- Issuing site directions to the M&E contractor as required
- Assisting the Quantity Surveyor in the recording of measurements
- Attending and contributing to design team and site meetings
- Scheduling outstanding M&E work
- Preparing schedules of defects
- Ensure compliance with the relevant project requirements, HTMs, HBNs for example
- Ensure compliance with the M&E contract documents
